These were originally made for our Marine Corps Ammo box lid tops, and we accidentally used our large USMC printing plate instead of the small one. The three screws we placed in the bottom are where our lockable hasp was covering a portion of the logo. Instead of scrapping them, we added a decorative rope to hang them and offering them to you cheap! We are practically giving them away because of this defect, so they will go fast.

The only thing not custom about this box is the classic font US Coast Guard text printed on the the box front.
We recommend adding unit patches, rank insignias, photos in uniform on the inside lid, and maybe even your unit or deployments. Just like the US Coast Guard, there is no limit!
Once you place your order, our custom box designers will use your artwork and send a rendering of what your box will look similiar to, or they may email you requesting more info or additional / better quality artwork. We try to keep all artwork communication via email to document the creation process.

Our custom sublimation process means that your artwork is embedded in the wood and full color artwork will differ somewhat from the renderings. There is beauty in simplicity, and this customer chose to keep the U.S. Army text as well as the Department of the Army seal that is emboss printed with our 1930′s Hooper Slat printing press. In order to maximize the space below the tray they also chose not to include our US flag holder. This provides plenty of room for memorabilia gathered throughout their Army Airborne Ranger career.

About this Custom Ammo Box Project -
We love it when a customer brings a unique vintage style image to customize our products. These old time prospectors are seen panning for gold in this vintage style sepia toned image. It was a perfect fit for our custom ammo box front. This custom ammo box is sure to become a family heirloom and will be used to store the gold and silver found by it’s owner and then passed on to the next generation.
Once a custom order is placed, we setup a project manager area for that project. From there, our talented graphic artists will create and size artwork to fit on the desired custom box or sign. At that point we provide an artwork proof for our customer to approve or revise. All of this is done inside the project manager as it let’s us communicate and both parties can upload files, text, and artwork proofs. This keeps us organized, and the project documented.
Once we receive our customers approval, the custom project goes into production, brass nameplates and plaques are made, and artwork goes onto the wood. From there, it is assembled, stained, sanded, sealed, lacquer sprayed, and finally our decorative metal hardware is added. Our custom boxes take 3-5 weeks once the artwork is approved. The faster we can communicate with you the faster we can get the artwork approved and ultimately the faster we can ship your order. During the artwork approval process, it is a good idea to check your email and respond in the project manager as quickly as possible.

About this Custom Military Gift
We were honored to create this one of a kind US Army retirement gift. This was the first US Army version we had ever made.
This particular one was unique as this veteran’s wife opted not to include the US flag holder but instead chose to place a plexiglass cover on top of the medals while leaving the coin holder exposed so that each challenge coin could be handled.
The proud tradition of the Signal Corps is highlighted on the custom artwork on the inside lid as well as the retiree’s name rank and service dates. We also had the honor of pending the medals into the shadow box according to the customers arrangement that they sent us.
Hats off to Gemini’s wife as she pioneered cutting a piece of cardboard to the size of the tray and pinning the medals the way she wanted all while making sure that they would fit into the dimensions of the felt shadowbox. Thanks to her, we now recommend to everyone using our metal pinning service that they follow her lead. We wish Gemini the best retirement has to offer and every happiness. We appreciate your service!
